Each campus library has a small collection of course reserve materials (including books, videos/DVDs, and more) that are placed on short-term loan by instructors. Course reserves are located at the library service counters and are available for shorter loan periods:

  • 2 hour in-library use
  • 4 hour in-library use
  • 1,3, or 7 day loan

Course reserves cannot be placed on hold or renewed.

There are a couple of ways you can find items on reserve.

1. Search for a course reserve through the on-line Course Reserves link above the Summon search box on the library homepage.

You will need to know either the last name of your instructor, or the course acronym and number (for example BUSN 1100).

2. Search the library catalogue for your book. If it has been placed on reserve, you will see this indicated in the location field on the catalogue record. The loan period will also be visible.
