Each campus library has a collection of course reserve materials (including textbooks, reading, videos/DVDs, and more) that are placed on short-term loan by instructors. Course reserves are located at the library service counters and are available for shorter loan periods:
Course reserves cannot be placed on hold or renewed. Not every section of every course will have reserve material.
1. Search for a course reserve through the on-line Course Reserves link above the Summon search box on the library homepage.
You will need to know either the last name of your instructor, or the course acronym and number (for example BUSN 1100). Once you locate the item, ask for it by title at the library service counter where it is being held.
2. Search the library catalogue for your book. If it has been placed on reserve, you will see this indicated in the location field on the catalogue record. The loan period will also be visible.
This screenshot shows that the textbook, Ecology: the economy of nature, is on reserve for 2-hr, in library use at both Langley and Surrey campuses.

We are available by phone, text, chat, email and in person!
