For students needing a place to join their online, synchronous classes, the library is able to offer its shared spaces, also called Collaborative Learning Zones. These spaces are intended for moderate conversation, group work, and those times when you need some interaction with other students.

We do request that you use a headset when joining your class, and that you speak in a low volume whenever possible.

No headset? No problem. The library service counter can help you with that. Just make sure you have your KPU ID, and you will be able to sign one out.

Look for the blue signage indicating Collaborative Learning space at these campus locations:

  • Surrey 1st floor
  • Langley open area to the right of the library entrance
  • Richmond open area across from the service counter

Please note: our study rooms are intended for group work only and not for individual use.

For more information on our shared study spaces and library floor plans, please visit our Library Facilities page.
